The Basmakçı Afyon motif takes its name from the region where it originated.

These rugs are known for their thick texture, single Turkish knot weaving technique, and authentic character. In this rug, as in others from the area, subtle tonal variations can be seen even within the same color, reflecting the spontaneous choices and artistry of the weavers.
